Kulani Kinis (USA)
Kulani Kinis (USA) wanted a surface pattern design created for their newest bikini. Their inspiration came from the name ‘Summer Melt’ and they envisioned the look of an ice cream melting and needed me to help make it come to life. Through digital techniques I created a pattern using a bright and vibrant colour palette. I began looking at paddle pops as a source of inspiration and eventually let one melt and photographed it. This was a good starting point to see how the colours mixed and flowed. After the design was finalised, samples had been manufactured and the product had been created, a photo-shoot was completed in the Maldives and then uploaded and sold on their website.
Navy (HMAS Maitland)

The Australian Defence Force, specifically, The Royal Australian Navy (HMAS Maitland) were after an update and refresh to their boat’s t-shirt. I used nautical imagery with the name of the boat (HMAS Maitland) and their slogan (invincible) to create a modern and fresh look for their boat t-shirt. I had to be creative in the way I used line weights, as I could only use black, as it was to be printed on a grey t-shirt.
Exercise Commission
A client asked for a sea themed pattern to suit their new line of active wear. They knew where they were going to print and get the exercise gear manufactured, the missing piece was a black and white pattern that suited the rest of their line.
